Dissertation research is devoted to the elucidation of the psychological content, structure and functions of helping the other as a means of personal development and to substantiation of the program of psychological influence of the developing character.
Psychological contents of helping the other consists in promoting inclusion of the other into the position of subjectivity, what presupposes certain peculiarities of both subjects of interaction, namely, activeness, reflexivity, empathy and creativity, as well as a corresponding level of motivation. The results of the empirical investigation have proven the dissertation hypothesis completely.
From the psychological perspective help is the special form of human interaction, which is aiming at, firstly, the relief of sufferings, and secondly, the opening of the capacities potential. Three levels of helping are pointed out: recipient, object and subject.
